Little Mule Co. (Melbourne CBD)
Empty laneway. This can’t be it. Oh yep, a little sign pokes out from a doorway down the back, “Little Mule Co.”.
Recommended by my good friend, Jo, The Little Mule hit the spot. She described it using some of my favourite words: free wifi, power points, good coffee and avo smash”. Done. Sold.
Atmosphere was lovely. The waiters treat you like you’re a good friend. Not in the sense that they’re keen for a chat, more that you don’t need to constantly acknowledge each other. You can comfortably exist in silence.
Avo smash: Yummo. Ratio of avo to feta was good – a touch heavy on the feta if anything. The bread was a good thickness but cutlery provided was inadequate. It was hard to cut, and thus my index finger struggled with dissecting the masterpiece. With lots of herbs and a decent squeeze of lemon, this was a tasty dish.
